Auction Hosted to Benefit the Realtor® Party

On September 28th, the Realtors® of the Palm Beaches and Greater Fort Lauderdale and the South Broward Board of Realtors® hosted the Realtor® Party Auction to benefit the Realtor® Party. The auction took place at the Pier 66 Hotel and Marina in Fort Lauderdale.

The evening started with a major investor reception followed by the auction. Over 200 people attended the event. The night featured stunning water views, live entertainment, nautical themed attire, a photo booth, and hors d’oeuvres.

Many local elected officials attended the auction, including: Broward County Property Appraiser Marty Kiar, Broward County Commissioners Chip LaMarca and Dale V.C. Holness, and Pompano Beach Mayor Lamar Fisher.

The event was sponsored by Fairway Independent Mortgage Corporation, Moving Squad, Americas Mortgage Professionals, Ygrene, and Williams Hilal Wigand Grande Law Firm.

The auction raised $43,586 which will be used to help elect local Realtor® Party supported candidates in the upcoming Florida General Election in November. The Realtor® Party screens candidates to determine which political candidates will have the best interest for Realtors®. In the past year, the Realtor® Party has screened over 200 political candidates across four counties.

Realtor® representation in government is critical to creating and maintaining a positive and successful environment for the real estate industry. When it comes to legislative and regulatory matters at the local, state and federal levels, the Realtor® Party has, and will continue to, support candidates based on their positions on issues affecting the real estate industry, regardless of a candidate’s party affiliation.

The upcoming General Election on November 6th will be crucial to the real estate industry. If you are not registered to vote, the deadline to register is October 9th. If you are registered and need to update your voter’s information, October 9th is also the deadline to make changes.
