Nominations Now Open for 2024 Good Neighbor Awards

This year marks the 25th anniversary of honoring Realtors® who have volunteered and made a significant impact in their communities. With 72% of Realtors® actively volunteering in their communities, the National Association of Realtors® (NAR) recognizes these efforts through the 2024 Good Neighbors Awards, celebrating all acts of giving back and highlighting the impactful role Realtors® play in their communities.

Since 2019, the NAR's Good Neighbor Awards have honored over 240 Realtors® for their volunteer service in 17 different countries, 43 states, and Puerto Rico. These Realtors® have shown a significant commitment to volunteerism, creating positive change in these communities. From Lahaina, Hawaii, to Palm Coast and Fort Lauderdale, Florida, last year's 2023 Good Neighbor Awards showcased inspiring efforts in giving back to communities across the globe. Among the winners were Broward, Palm Beaches & St. Lucie Realtors® member Kasia Maslanka. Kasia, a Realtor® with Douglas Elliman, co-founded Morningday Community Solutions to redirect overstocked or returned excess merchandise from retail businesses to nonprofits and people who need it. NAR recognizes those Realtor®-led charities that have been tirelessly giving back to their communities in extraordinary ways.

NAR has officially opened applications for the 2024 Good Neighbor Awards. The five winners will each receive a $10,000 grant for their nonprofit organization and will be recognized in November during NAR NXT, The REALTOR® Experience in Boston. Not only that, but five honorable mentions will also each receive a $2,500 grant. This honors those who have dedicated their time and efforts to making a meaningful difference in the communities where they live and work.

It only takes one person to change the lives of many. Participating in volunteer service makes a difference in your community and inspires others to strive for positive change within the industry they serve. NAR recognizes those efforts and inspires Realtors® to keep contributing to their communities.

To be considered, applicants must submit their entries by April 17, 2024. Nominees must be NAR members in good standing and should have made a significant impact as a volunteer for a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Winners will be chosen based on their community impact through volunteer work.
