RAPB + GFLR Shows Broward County That #RealtorsCare

On Saturday, November 3rd, Realtors® of the Palm Beaches and Greater Fort Lauderdale (RAPB + GFLR) gathered in Pompano Beach to kickoff Love South Florida Month. The day was organized by Rebuilding Together Broward in partnership with RAPB + GFLR’s Community Outreach Task Force for Broward County and America’s Mortgage Professionals, an RAPB + GFLR Affiliate.

“Realtors® and Affiliates donned bright blue #RealtorsCare t-shirts and began a day of painting and landscaping at Esquire Lakes Estates in Pompano Beach, along with student and teacher volunteers from Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School,” said Linda Gloria, Chair of RAPB + GFLR’s Community Outreach Taskforce for Broward County.

The goal of Rebuilding Together Broward is to eliminate unsafe and deplorable living conditions for low-income homeowners who are elderly, veterans, and/or have disabilities.

One homeowner, Alice, 85, who at her age doesn’t have the funds or ability to keep up with the exterior of her home, was thrilled by the work completed on her property. The outside of her home was freshly painted and landscaped by the enthusiastic volunteers.

Volunteers also revitalized Brown’s Temple F.B.H. Church in Pompano Beach. The work included fresh landscaping and newly painted lines in the parking lot, which gave the church an updated look just in time for the holiday season.

“Love South Florida was a great opportunity to give back to our community, help residents in need, and show Broward County that #RealtorsCare,” said Gloria.
