Award Descriptions

Affiliate Company of the Year & Affiliate Member of the Year
The primary purpose of this Award is to select and recognize publicly the Affiliate Member and Affiliate Member Company whose support and participation has added significantly to the quality of the Association's programs, services and benefits to its members. The criteria used by the Awards Committee shall include, but not be limited to, participation in educational programs, committees, and meetings. This Award is not based upon financial support. The Affiliate of the Year Award will be awarded to One Affiliate Member and One Affiliate Company.


Broker of the Year
The primary purpose of this Award is to select and recognize publicly the Designated REALTOR®, Principal Broker,  Broker or Managing Broker who has distinguished themselves by their contribution to the profession, their Association, the image of REALTORS®, and to the community at large. The criteria used by the Awards Committee may include length of business experience, Association activities, Florida Realtors® activities, NAR activities, and community service within the past three (3) years. Criteria does not include sales and production.

  • Three Tiers:  Broker of the Year Small Office (1-25 agents),  Broker of the Year Mid-size Office (26-100 agents), Broker of the Year Large Office (101 or More agents)

  • Three Regions:  Treasure Coast, Palm Beach County, Broward County

  • Please Note: Each franchise office is looked at independently of the brand


Committee Member Recognition
The primary purpose of this Award is to select and recognize publicly the Committee member who has shown outstanding ability and dedication, has given their very best and gone the extra mile during the year they have served on an RAPB + GFLR Committee.


Global REALTOR® of the Year
The primary purpose of this Award is to select and recognize publicly the Global Business Alliance member whose support and participation to the global community has added significantly to the quality of the Association's programs, services and benefits to its members. The criteria used by the Awards Committee shall include, but not be limited to, participation in educational programs, committees, and meetings at the local, state and national level. Criteria does not include sales and production.


Humanitarian of the Year
The primary purpose of this Award is to select and recognize publicly a member who continually gives beyond the call of duty; one who contributes to the community through participation, on a volunteer basis or in various civic activities. These activities include, but are not limited to, areas such as private property rights, environmental and/or governmental issues, civic involvement, mentoring and others.


Jo. M. Wright Realtor® Political Involvement Award
The primary purpose of this award is to select and recognize publicly a game changing Realtor® advocate for the tireless protection of the real estate profession, homeownership, housing and private property rights. This person will have traveled with association leadership to Tallahassee to meet with and encourage lawmakers to advance our advocacy agenda, and have generously committed their time and funds to achieve our shared goals.

Candidate must be a RPAC contributor for the past three years with a minimum annual contribution of $250. Significant service contribution in real estate related government affairs three out of the last five years. Active in local, state and or national politics such as but not limited to FPC, Key Contact, RPAC and RPIC.  Attendance at the Great American REALTOR® Days meetings for a minimum of once in the last three consecutive years.


Myrtle T. “Andy Anderson Memorial Leadership Mentorship Award
The primary purpose of this Award is to select and recognize publicly one Realtor® member who excels in a leadership capacity with unbounded willingness to help others and an acceptance of a responsibility to “give back” to the REALTOR® organization.  The criteria used by the Awards Committee may include evaluating how the nominee has played an active, ongoing role as an innovator and mentor for the REALTOR® community and will have demonstrated uncommon, outstanding leadership traits and skills and commitment in service to the REALTOR® organization.


REALTOR® Educator of the Year
The primary purpose of this Award is to select and recognize publicly a member (Realtor® or Affiliate) of the Association who has volunteered their time without compensation to educating our Realtor® members during their real estate career. The criteria used by the Awards Committee may include evaluating nominees’ participation in teaching within offices and at the local, state and national Association levels.


REALTOR® of the Year
The primary purpose of this Award is to honor and recognize publicly the REALTOR® member of the Association based on lifetime contributions to the profession, the image of REALTORS® and to the community at large during their real estate career. The criteria used by the Awards Committee may include Association activities, Florida Realtors® activities, NAR activities and community service. The current President is not eligible for this award. Recipients of this award may be eligible for the award again after a 3-year period.


Rising Star Award
The primary purpose of this Award is to select and recognize publicly a member of the Association who has engaged in Association Involvement within the last three years. The criteria used by the Awards Committee shall be based on participation in REALTOR® meetings and Conventions, local/state/national committees, Association functions and events. Criteria does not include sales and production.


Young Professional REALTOR® of the Year
The primary purpose of this Award is to select and recognize publicly the REALTOR® member who is age 40 or under and who has distinguished themselves by their contribution to the profession, their Association, the image of REALTORS® and to the community at large. The criteria used by the Awards Committee may include length of business experience, Association activities, Florida Realtors® activities, NAR activities, and community service. Criteria does not include sales and production.
